New Mexico, USA
Robust native wildflower with history of use for treating poison ivy/oak and other medicinal uses. Sturdy plant blooms quite prolifically for a wildflower! Thick, leathery leaves are very drought and heat tolerant.
I believe this is a west coast variety, probably hardy to about zone 6 or 7.
Grown in the hot high desert SW, zone 8a, in marginally improved, very sandy clay using permaculture and organic, low-nitrogen methods.
